- The Map & The Territory -

A 2nd Annual Exhibition featuring a compositions created by graduate students from
the 2011/2012 academic year.

Here Be Monsters celebrates studio and thesis work from the 2011/2012 academic year. Responding to urban design challenges that are increasingly complex and global in nature,
these projects from students at Canada’s leading architecture faculty explore creative and sustainable ways to design and inhabit the built environment.

Here Be Monsters is an exhibition in two parts, echoing the structure of the Daniels Faculty’s degree programs.

Part one, The Map, features studio work from all years and all disciplines. With an emphasis
on the exploratory nature of the design process, it is made up of a diverse collection of plans, sections, perspectives, diagrams, and models: all exercises in mapping.

The navigational skills gained through studio work lead to part two, The Territory, which
will showcase the past year’s most innovative and creative thesis projects.
